Day 31 (Friday, October 29, 2021)
Cost for the Day are in the Table below:
Today, I woke up around 7:30am and had some coffee. I did some paperwork for our visas and then Bi made a breakfast of eggs, toast, and avocado which was quite delicious.
Afterwards, I went to Julifoto to pick up 2 photo sleeves (Cost: 1 EUR).
Then I went made some copies at FrenteyVerso. (Cost: 66 pages in Black & White for 0.10 EUR/Page and Large Envelopes for 1.1 EUR/each. Total was 8.8 EUR)
Then I came home and put together the documents with the new print outs for our visas.
Bi had bought a Ukelele (Cost: 83 EUR) so I started messing around with that as well trying to learn to play One Love by Bob Marley. I still have a ways to go, but I’ll keep at it.
Bi had also arranged to watch a dog named Daisy for the next few days. The dog’s family dropped her off along with her cage, toys, food, and leash. Daisy was a bundle of energy and clearly intelligent but not at all well trained as she was jumping on everyone and everything in the house. Here’s a photo when she was actually sitting and looking like a well behaved dog.
For lunch, I made a salmon, tomato, and cheese fajita and Bi went out to meet up with some ladies.
Bi said they went to a restaurant in Luz which is a nice little town near Lagos. I actually surfed at Praia do Luz a few weeks ago. Some photos from the Ladies Lunch are below. (Cost: 13 EUR)
In the afternoon, I went to the post office to mail the two stacks of documents to the US. (Cost: 29.2 EUR but there were two packages about 1/4 inch thick). You have to get a ticket and wait for 15-20 minutes but it is nowhere near as slow as the bank.
When I got home, I decided to take Daisy for a run. She kind of looks like a small greyhound so I figured she was fairly fast. I was more than right. I took her on a 2.16 Mile cliff run past Praia do Pinhau, Praia de Dona Ana, and out to Praia do Camilo. She was pretty much dragging me along the whole way. Here are our photos:
We’ll, I think you made Daisy’s day.
