Day 44 (Thursday, November 11, 2021)

Costs for the Day are in the Table below:

Woke up at 7am again and went for my morning run and calisthenics workout. Here is what I did:

Ran 1.29 Miles (0.6 Miles to the Calisthenics Park and back), 4 sets of 10 pullups to chest level or as high as possible, 4 sets of dips from the bar going as low as possible, 100 pushups (25/25/25/25), 4 sets of 8 straight leg raises, 4 sets of 10 chin ups going as high as possible, 1 minute straight arm planks – Left/Right/Regular with dips for last 15 seconds, 1 minute flutter kicks, 3 sets of side holds from the bars for as long as possible 5-15 seconds, 50 inverted rows from the rings (20/15/15).

Note: I was actually able to do a couple muscle ups today without doing any chicken winging. However, this was only possible with significant leg movement during the transition from the pullup to the press up. I am not sure if I am actually getting stronger or just becoming more comfortable with the bar. At any rate, it was a good feeling as I do not believe I have ever been able to do a muscle up in this way before.

Then I came home, read for a while, and made a breakfast of sausage, eggs, cheese, tomatoes, avocadoes, toast, and orange juice. Bi and I relaxed on the balcony and had a nice brunch.

After breakfast, we went to Frente y Verso to print some documents (Cost 1.2 EUR). Bi had a Dr. Appointment in Luz so we took the #4 A Onda bus from Lagos to Luz. (Cost: 3.2 EUR for 2 people).

I really like the town of Luz so I hiked around a bit along the coast and took some photos.

If you look at the photo on the lower left, you can see a large number of fossilized sea shells. These are actually everywhere in the sandstone. I have never seen so many fossilized shells. They are embedded in the cliffs and arches all along the coast.

The Dr. Appointment would have been 60 EUR but, since we have Medis Private Health Insurance the bill was discounted by 30 EUR making the cost 30.60 EUR total.

We took the A Onda #4 bus back again to Lagos and strolled back to our apartment.
