Day 50 (Wednesday, November 17, 2021)

Costs for the Day are in the Table below:

I woke up at 7am and went for my morning workout. Here is what I did:

Ran 1.29 Miles (0.6 to the Park and back), 4 sets of 10 pullups or full muscle ups, 4 sets of 10 dips going as low as possible, 100 pushups (25/25/25/25), 4 sets of 8 straight leg raises, 4 sets of chin ups to chest level or as high as possible, 1 minute straight arm planks – Left/ Right/ Center with dips or arm/leg raises in last 15-30 seconds, 1 minute flutter kicks, 4 sets of 10-15 second side holds from the bars, 50 inverted rows (15/15/10/10).

After my workout and run, I had coffee and made a breakfast of eggs, sausage, onions, and tomatoes. Then, I decided to take my surf gear and check out Porto Mos. The forecast and cams did not look great but there were a few long boarders out there so I thought I would give it a try. So, I hopped on the #2 A Onda bus to Porto Mos. (Cost: 1.2 EUR) Unfortunately, surfing was impossible. The waves were just too small and lacking any power. However, I had a excellent paddle up and down the beach for an hour or so.

Then I came out, dried off and walked over to Campimar for lunch since Bi said she would meet me there. (Cost: 8.70 EUR for a Chicken Baguette and a Daquiri). The restaurant is nice and has a fantastic view but the food and drink were very mediocre.

After lunch, Bi biked over and met me but she had quite an adventure biking around since she got a bit lost on the way and ran into some roadblocks. Once she arrived we walked to the left side of the beach to try and snorkel around the rocks to another beach on the other side. However, the visibility wasn’t the best and Bi was nervous about the waves near the rocks so it was a fairly unsuccessful snorkeling expedition but quite a good swim.

Then we packed up and Bi rode her bike home while I took the #2 A Onda bus back with my surf gear. (Cost: 1.2 EUR) At home, we showered up and Bi cooked dinner while I did some writing.
