Day 60 (Saturday, November 27, 2021)

Costs for the Day are in the Table below:

Today, I woke up at 8am, made a cup of coffee and had some granola for breakfast. I listened to the news on the new Omicron Covid variant out of South Africa and the significant drop in the stock market. Sounds like it will be a rough time for the markets in the weeks ahead but I feel confident with our financial position so I am not too worried.

I am trying to set some things up for Bi’s upcoming birthday so I booked a Tour for December 10th through Seafaris. (Cost: 80.30 EUR). It leaves from the Lagos marina and goes from 11:30am to 1pm. It should be fun!

Later in the morning, I walked to Lagos Shopping Center which is a couple blocks away and bought some Decorations. (Cost: 4.35 EUR) Then I came back to the apartment and biked to Intermarche for some grocery shopping. (Cost: 65.70) I also picked up some cards from the Tabacaria Ameijeira which is right next to Intermarche and inside the same building. (Cost 5 EUR). There is a gas station outside with an air pump and I was noticing my bike tires were getting low so I filled them up for free at the gas station. My backpack was full of groceries, so I biked back to the apartment to drop everything off.

Then I biked to Hiper China Lagos and picked up some more decorations (Cost: 50 EUR)

Meanwhile, Bi met up with some friends for lunch at Mar Restaurante. (Cost: 13 EUR) Mar is set atop a cliff overlooking Praia dos Estudantes. It is a small little restaurant but the view is phenomenal.

After lunch, they went for a beach/cliff hike and then had some wine at our apartment. Bi picked up the wine from the wine shop around the corner. (Cost: 4.5 EUR)
