Lake Annecy – March 23-25, 2022

Lake Annecy is a picturesque alpine lake nestled in the French Alps near the border with Switzerland. The water is crystal clear and is excellent for kayaking and other water sports like wake boarding. The surrounding mountains have wonderful hiking trails and snowboarding as well as dog-sledding.

We only had a couple days there but we spent them kayaking, hiking, and dog sledding for the first time!!

The first one below is our kayaking trip on Lake Annecy. It was Sydney’s first time kayaking and she did really well.

This second video below is of our hiking up a moderate rocky path to the Cascade d’Angon which is a gorgeous waterfall and only a short hike from town. I would highly recommend this easy, but spectacular hike.

Last but not least was our first time dog sledding up in the French Alps! What an interesting experience! The guides as well as the dogs were friendly, fun, and professional. Tip: Be prepared for the chunks of snow that get kicked up from their paws as they run!! I recommend sunglasses.
