My Mom came to visit from May 18-25, 2022 and we had a wonderful time!

Here was our brief itinerary:

Thursday, May 19 – Pick up from Airport in Lisbon. Cliff Hike from Luz to Porto Mos to see the gorgeous views of Praia da Luz.

Friday, May 20 – Cliff Hike from Praia Dona Ana to the Ponta da Piedade and a packed snack of empanadas from Empanadas & Co. Shopping and Gelato at Gloosi. Dinner at Casinha do Petisco in Lagos to sample the local cataplana.

Saturday, May 21 – Visit to Lagos Castle, Forte da Ponta da Bandeira, the ancient Church of Santa Maria de Lagos, the sad but enlightening Mercado de Escravos (Slave Trade Museum), the Museu Municipal of Dr. Jose Formosinho and the golden baroque Church of Santo Antonio. Dinner at Zazu in Luz overlooking the beach.

Sunday, May 22 – Boat Tour of Carvoeiro and Benagil Caves. Sangria in Carvoeiro with Amanda and her parents. Dinner at Puerto Escondido in Luz.

Monday, May 23 – Visit to Sagres and tour of the Sagres Fort (Promontorio de Sagres), Beach walk at Praia da Mareta, dinner at Osaka in Lagos

Tuesday, May 24 – Boat Tour to Ponta da Piedade and the Lagos caves. Dinner at Boaty’s in Luz near the beach.

Wednesday, May 25 – Early drop off at Airport in Lisbon.
