It rained the day before so we met up with our guide, Phillippe at 11am to allow the sun to dry out the rock. The day was sunny and bright with mostly clear blue skies and a cool breeze.

There are thousands of climbing routes in the area, mostly sport, that are well bolted and our guide actually wrote the guide book (Grimper en Provence Verte by Phillippe Bugada) for the area and bolted many of the routes. He is an expert climber but also a fantastic teacher, very patient and precise and I would highly recommend him as a guide. If you are climbing on your own, his guidebook is one of the best I have seen with very clear pictures of the rock faces and maps of the routes and sectors.

We mostly climbed 5b/5c/6a routes (Yosemite Decimal System 5.8/5.9/5.10a) to practice our sport climbing and also to learn how to setup, climb, and descend multi-pitch routes.

Below is a short 15 second video from Bi on the short multi pitch!
