Since we just arrived back to Portugal in October, we were unable to travel back to the USA for Christmas.  We had been spending most of our time renovating the new townhouse we purchased and were ready for a break and change of scenery.  So, we decided to hit the road for a five-hour drive to Spain to spend Christmas with friends at their house near Marbella.

Although they live in Spain, our friends are Swedish so Christmas dinner consisted of a spread of delicious Swedish dishes, including meatballs, potatoes, waffles, fruit, beet salad, salmon, shrimp, and eggs with caviar. The food was both tasty and visually appealing, making for an entertaining and enjoyable dining experience.

But the company was just as important as the food, and we were able to fully relax and enjoy our time together in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.  In the end, it was the perfect way to spend the holiday season, filled with good food, good friends, and plenty of holiday cheer.

We were able to create lasting memories and celebrate in a unique and memorable way, making it a special holiday celebration that we will likely never forget.
