Day 16 (October 14, 2021)

Costs for the Day are in the Table below:

Woke up at 7:30am today and ran to the Calisthenics Park for a workout. Here is what I did:

Ran 1.28 Miles (to the Park and back), Pullups – 3 sets of 10, leg raises 2 sets of 8, pushups (100 in multiple sets – 40/20/20/20), 30 seconds of Jump Squats, 1 minute of Flutter Kicks, 40 inverted rows, 2x side holds on bars for 10 seconds per side. It was just a light workout but I want to start getting into a routine.

Then, I helped Bi make some breakfast quesadillas and Andy, Joey, Bi, and I had a nice breakfast on the balcony.

Afterwards, we packed up and drove to Benagil Beach to visit the Benagil Caves. Bi and I rented Stand Up Paddleboards (Cost 30 EUR for 2) and Andy and Joey took the boat tour. Note: If you take the Stand Up Paddleboards then you can go ashore in the cave which is fantastic! If you take the boat tour, you get to see multiple caves but you cannot go ashore and explore the caves.

After our expedition, we relaxed on the beach for a while and then drove to Ferragudo to see a dog named Monty that Bi may be interested in adopting. He was a very sweet dog and about 5 years old. He was a bit bigger than we were looking for, maybe 25-30 lbs but very nice, gentle, and friendly. We decided to sleep on it.

So, Andy, Joey, Bi and I went out to dinner in Ferragudo to discuss dogs and travel and various dreams of ours.

We went to O Velho Novo and had the Bream, Squid, and Fish Skewers with some fresh squeezed orange juice. For dessert, we had the chocolate mousse and a unique kind of fig cake.

After dinner, we did some grocery shopping at Pingo Doce which is less expensive than SPAR but not a discount grocery store like ALDI or LIDL. Pingo Doce seems to have a larger selection than ALDI or LIDL.
