Day 35 (Tuesday, November 2, 2021)

Costs for the Day are in the Table below:

I relaxed this morning and slept in until almost 9:00am. It felt nice to sleep in and be lazy. Then I had a coffee and wrote for a while and Bi made a delicious breakfast! She called it Bi’s Big Breakfast.

After breakfast, I packed up my surf gear since surf-forecast was showing decent waves in Praia do Luz. I was skeptical though because the surf came at Campimar was showing zero waves a Porto Mos and they face a similar direction. Bi came along too since we figured we could just hang out in Luz if there wasn’t any surfing.

We took the A Onda #4 bus from Lagos to Praia da Luz and it cost 1.6 EUR each (Cost 3.2 EUR Total). The bus was on-time, clean and safe with mostly a senior crowd. This is actually the busiest I have seen it.

Luz is a very nice little town with a picturesque walkway near the beach that has a number of restaurants and little shops.

Unfortunately, there were zero waves. So, Bi and I paid a little shop 5 EUR to store my board and bag for the day and we checked out the area.

We ended up getting a bite to eat at a little cafe called Endless Summer Pizzaria & Bar on the beach. The pizza was quite good as well as the fruit smoothies. (Cost: 30 EUR)

It was very pleasant to just sit outside and look out on the beach and the ocean as the clouds drifted overhead.

Once we had our fill, we walked back to the shop where I stored my board and bag. Bi was in the market for a sun hat so she picked one up for 11 EUR that was quite nice.

Then we hopped back on the A Onda #4 bus back to Lagos and walked back to the apartment.
