Day 49 (Tuesday, November 16, 2021)

Costs for the Day are in the Table below:

I woke up at 6:30am, had a bowl of granola and yogurt, and packed up my surf gear. Then I walked over to the bus stop to catch the #2 A Onda bus to Porto Mos. (Cost: 1.2 EUR)

It was a particularly beautiful morning and the sunrise glowed red on the horizon when it first came up. I surfed on the right hand side again and the waves were nice and clean but there was a good wait between sets. It was a fun session and I caught some good right handers but the waves died down a bit by 9:30am so I got out, dried off, and walked back over to the bus stop.

I caught the #2 A Onda bus (Cost: 1.2 EUR) back to Lagos and walked back to the apartment to relax and have some coffee on the balcony.

Then Bi and I rode our bikes to pick up two bottles of wine from A Pippa (Cost: 6 EUR) right around the block. The owners are so friendly, they let us in even though the shop was actually closed. We then biked to Pingo Doce for some groceries to made Sangria and Garlic Soy Steak (Cost: 9.6 EUR).

Finally, we biked to Erik, Jules, and Gina’s house as they were hosting a brunch with Dennis, Shana and their kids, Joy, Steven and Paige, and Kay and Simon. We made the Garlic Soy Steak there and the Sangria and all the other couples brought dishes as well. Then we all ate and chatted for a while. It was a lot of fun and we had a great time.

After brunch, we biked back to Pingo Doce for some more grocery shopping and then headed back to the apartment.

In the evening, we stayed in, relaxed and watched some Netflix.
